I adopted Miss Penny Anne from the SPCA on Bradshaw in Sac. I have always loved Bostons. Now with my children grown and gone I needed some thing to do besides Bingo & Bunco to do at the senior complex I live in. Miss Penny Anne and I are seniors and have a wonderful life together. She is about 12 or 13 and does NOT like children from abuse prior to when I got her. She is overweight like me and is very laid back like me so as you can see we are 2 of a kind. We both have arthritis so we take long walks nice and slow and are enjoying our later life together. When it come her time to go I will look for another senior Boston. When I was a teenager, I saw my first Boston & fell head over heels in love. I didn't know the name of the breed but I knew one day I would have one. We now own 3 dogs. Two of them are awesome mutts that my husband & I got when we first met. Now they are 11 & 10 years old. When my son turned 7 (his birthday is the December 23), he asked for a baby brother or a puppy. My husband & I said the puppy. That's when I found out that the dog I fell in love with when I was a kid was a Boston. Immediately I went looking for one. I did all my homework & found a great breeder in Oregon. Long story short, Axle was delivered via cuddle critter limousine on Dec.17,2004. We surprised Jacob on his birthday. Axle has our hearts now & we spoil him rotten. We are looking forward to meeting other people who are as touched by the Boston like we are-

So much for originality. There are certainly lots of Lucy's in the club! Bet that's fun at the dog park. (lol) My Lucy is almost four. She was a christmas gift from my husband (then boyfriend). She gave me the first inkling that my husband and I were going to be a permanent situation because once she arrived I knew he'd never be able to live without her. I'm afraid I did a poor job of socializing her, despite my best attempts. She's not very friendly with strange dogs or kids so I'm not sure if we'll get to join you at the park, but we look forward to the e-mails and it's great to know there's a community out there.

He enjoys sleeping in the exact middle of my bed, making me chase him around frantically trying to pry the inedible objects he magically finds out of his mouth, and playing! Amy is my 4 year old aussie/german shepard. She is a wonderful "babysitter" for Jimmie. When she gets tired of playing with him, she just sits on him. Our old girl died at age 16 & there was no life in our house. I serched for months at all the Bostons for adoptions then I saw Cookie's pic & it was instant love. Cookie was a two year old from Wonderdog rescue in S.F. now she is three. she is a bolt of lightening running through the house & a dog on a mission in the yard looking for lizards & cats. She catches the lizards & carries them around till she tires of it, chases the neighbors cats till they chase back, then she runs for the house. She sleeps with us & loves to cuddle even though she has her own bed. My husband is almost deaf so when Cookie wants in from her potty break or attention she screams bloody murder to be heard. Believe me the neighbors hear her. See you all at the park.

Mike gave Bailey to me as my college graduation gift. We got her when we lived in Eugene, Oregon, but she is definitely a California girl, as the breeder had just moved from San Diego. Mike and I have since moved home to Chico where I work for the family business, and Mike as a landscape architect for a local firm. Bailey is fortunate enough to go to work with me everyday; she is our official greeter, and she loves her responsibility!
Bailey loves to hike, swim, play fetch (with anything!), and be chased. We love taking her to dog parks, and especially meeting other dogs, particularly Bostons.
Mike and I are currently filling out applications to adopt a Boston brother or sister for Bailey. Although her birthday was in August, we hope to give her her own dog by winter!

I live in the Natomas area and have one dog, Vinny. He is 6months old and loves other dogs! He knows how to sit, shake, lay down, and roll over. We are still working on "come". We went to the dog park for the first time last weekend and he absolutely loved it!! There were some bigger dogs though, and I think for now while he's still a puppy I would really like for him to play with mostly Bostons. He has no dog friends for now, and I think this will be a good way to meet them! I have lived in the Sacramento area for the past 4 years--8 if you count the Davis area while I was going to college there.
Anyways, Vinny and I hope to go to one of the meet-ups soon!

Brody is my 4 1/2 year old boston. He loves to play ball, tug-o-war, jump on beds, bug his adopted sister boston Chandler, eat and sleep under blankets. Brody and I use to live in the bay area and we belonged to the South Bay Boston Terrier Social Club where we had socials, obedience and agility training classes. Brody is very intelligent, he knows my words, sentences, can understand the t.v. and loves to watch certain t.v. shows, especially those involving animals. Brody also knows the following tricks: sit, stay, lay down, high five, stand-up on his back feet and twirl in circles, flip in the air and roll over. While we lived in the bay area he was involved in a flyball group and agility obstacle course team, but since we've moved to Sacramento we have not been involved with these activities. Brody now looks forward to going on runs with me. He's got s slightly longer snout than other boston's which allows him to run longer distances.
Brody needs his friends and play time so we're hoping to make some of the meetups that are closer to downtown Sacramento.

We got Spartacus in August when we promised ourselves we wouldn't get a puppy for a couple more months. We knew we wanted a Boston terrier and when we found a breeder in Folsom with puppies we had to go "look". And, here we are. Spartacus is the biggest Boston we (or our vet) has ever seen, weighing in at 28 lbs already, and only 8 months old. He has a ton of energy and when he isn't trying to make us go crazy he loves taking naps on the couch.

I am a teacher in the Roseville/Antelope area and I got Banshee 2 years ago. I fell in love with Bostons when my best friend had her first Boston, Tank. Her next Boston, Macee, had 7 puppies and I was able to get on of her daughters Banshee. Most of the puppies were given Irish-type names because they born on St. Patrick's day. I fell in love with Banshee instantly. She is a smart, good dog, as well as protective and dominant. She loves to go to the dog park and play fetch.
